  amongst billions of galaxies each containing billions of stars with their families of planets, it only had to happen once - genesis.

  not by the hand of god but through sheer statistical inevitability with, perhaps, some anthropic good luck thrown in.. from that point on there was no stopping it.

  natural selection made best use of the variations that mutation threw up and billions of years later .

  there are no paradigms of good or bad in nature. things just are. and if a mutation makes you look too ugly to be eaten, it might as well be a good thing - as long as it does not prevent you from reproducing.

  when i joined jwd i still felt the need for a 'support group' and jwd was full of similar people wanting to share their experience.

  now the time has come for me to leave - i am now able to put 35 years of jw living completely out of my head.. .

  many factors have helped me, and jwd was an important part of that, and i will always be grateful to simon for setting up this forum.. .

  i am if it is the norm, but in my teenage years i must admit, i ahd no problem in going beyond kissing with quite a few jw girls, some even pioneers and talking to some fellow male jw teenagers at the time, many other where for sure going beyond kissing, makes you wonder how many jw's who get married are actually virgins, on a side note i also landed up in front of a committe one time for well bonking and hey i am sure they only do these so that they can here all the nitty gritty of illicit sex for soem reason or another, by the way i pulled the wool over their eyes and still remaind a bit of alad, lol.

  oh yes, JW girls in their late teens... unfortunately i was too "spiritual" back then, so i was always being careful not to cross a line i could not justify somehow. the line being... you know... coitus interuptus ;)

  SATAN WORSHIP?

  i've been several months out now (da'd in feb 07).

  i took to wearing a pentagram , since i really do believe in these five main elements to life.. however, as you will know the pentagram is also reffered to as 'star of satan and various other things.. my point is: as far as the witlesses are concerned, i worship the devil since i dont worship jehoobah.. but!.

  i would rather be a worshiper of satan, who everyone knows can be a bit of scumbag at times, but at least i know where i stand with him, than worship a god who proffesses to be the only true god, yet devastates his followers when they realise the true extent of the lies of his apparent earthly organization.. so i wear my pentagram with pride!.

  the pentagram (pointing up) is an old "pagan" sign, used as talisman and what not. the inversed pentagram (pointing down, the one you use in your avatar) is a sign used by satanists and good old heavy metal bands. most satanists don't worship or even believe in satan, by the way.

  what would the world be like?.

  for example, today orthodox jews and christians don't kill witches and homosexuals because they can't legally.. but if things were as their god decreed in the bible, they'd be dead.. islam, when it has enough power to enforce it's laws, summarily kills and dismembers those that offend allah.. so if you're unhappy with all the gays and druggies and atheists and witches and hippies, are you secretly longing for the day when your deity of choice exterminates them?.

  for figuring out it's all crap?

  that's what tortures me the most, i really didin't want to let anyone down, but damn, how long could i lie to myself?.

  Do you still believe in God

  i was wondering why da or df jw no longer believe in god when they make up their mind to no longer attend a meeting.

  first off let's not say that all of us become athiest when leaving.

  many on this board believe in god.

  there's absolutely no single reason to believe in god. those who do, don't do so because they "found god", but because they were indoctrinated that there is a god. same sh*t as JW, different colour. it dont matter to me though if they are happy with it and don't threaten other people with their version of hell or harmagedon. some people just can't live without an invisible friend.

  so since no one picked up the ball, after my thread on "your jw father".....here we go.... my mother (bless her heart) was born in kansas in 1926....her mother died in 1934, when my mother was 8 years old.

  she died trying to give yourself an abortion with a coat hanger.

  it was the "great depression".....she was 34 years old 4 kids and a 5th on the way...my grandfather would blow through town just long enough to "knock her up" and leave....no money....no hope.

  my mother is the greatest mom on earth, if you know what i'm talking about. sadly she's sacrificing most of her time to the old creeps in brooklyn by serving as a pioneer. since she started pioneering she wont stop talking about field service on any occasion. it's hard to have a normal conversation without drifting into the pioneering part.
  
  but i know i cannot change that, and she seems to be happy with it - so what. at least she's not one of those who follow the society to the letter. she'd never stop talking with her disfellowshipped family members (but you can guess what topic always comes up). and she'd have her own thoughts about many things. but she got her own twisted JW theology that would never make her leave.
